Opening title sequence for the Badlands Productions horror short film “Dead Air.” Practical effects are combined with digital elements for an abstract retelling of the main monster’s origin story.
All the name and title elements seen in the above sequence were created practically using literal smoke and mirrors. A custom built box, old halloween party fog machine, a Sony DSLR, LED lights and digitally cut lettering come together for the “headlights through the fog” effect desired.
